Personal Touches
my story
When I was about eleven years old my Mom convinced my Dad to knock the whole kitchen down, and I got to see how our space changed for the better. My mom was now able to see us kids playing while she got dinners ready, which limited the amount of shenanigans my brother and I could get away with, but overall improved the functionality for our family. Since then, I have always loved seeing spaces transform and how no one place is exactly the same because no one is the same and that in itself is so beautiful to think about.
My own journey truly began in May of 2023 when my husband and I got engaged. We were married within 4 months! It was such a beautiful and exciting experience, talk about wedding planning to the MAX. As soon as we were back from our honeymoon we dived right into the holiday season and began searching for our first house! In February of 2024 we purchased the place we would call our home and so has begun all the potential home projects and random fixes that come with homeownership.
This whirlwind of life changes I’ve recently experienced gives me a realistic look into how your space can affect your day to day. Your space is an emotional purchase just as much as it’s a financial one, and you need to feel comfortable and at peace in your own space. Home is where you can kick up your feet, eat a whole tub of ice cream and not move from the sofa all day. Whatever your version of that pure relaxation and joy is, lets create it! Your home should be a reflection of you and what you love and value the most.

"Husband" has become my favorite word! Having a best friend to come home to and have Sunday morning random conversation that leaves us in tears of laughter is something I wish for everyone to experience. I also take my cooking responsibilities very seriously.

There is so much to learn when you have a home and a lot less free time! With new obstacles everyday it’s about taking baby steps. But it truly is the best having a space that is yours to call home.

The orange cat energy is real in our house. Moto runs the show on the daily and makes his presence known whether its playing fetch better than most dogs, interrupting all my zoom calls to show off his cute face, or spazzing so much that he falls off the sofa, only to jump right back up and do it all over again.

Picked up a little book called A Court of Thorns and Roses this year and if you know, you know! Now my daily routine has a solid chunk of time carved out to enjoy just one more chapter.

You can find me savoring some type of sweet mostly chocolate after every meal. If I can get my husband to go for ice cream, which is not a very hard sell at all, then I am one very happy girl.
